Microfiber is ?

Cloths are made of microfibers with wedge-shaped cross sections that trap and remove all kinds of dust, particles from surfaces. It's finest fiber yarn featuring stick to surface well different with ordinary yarn. The material in microfiber cloths are made of finely woven polyester and nylon that feels like a chamois. The threads are split into microfibers and woven into massive number of little loops.
The specially constructed knit fabric in the microfiber cloth gives a large surface area, 60-100 times more which gives enormous absorbing and cleaning power to microfiber cleaning cloth.Because of it, our products clean nearly all surfaces without soap and detergent. Microfiber is so powerful that it can remove ordinary dirt and bacteria. Microfiber is the fiber made of hi-tech polyester processed after shrinkage. It is 100 times thinner than the thickness of human hair (a diameter 1 micrometer - 1/1,000,000m) Microfiber's absorbing power is quicker than normal cotton. Like a sponge, fine pores absorb the water. Remarkable absorption and drainage will keep the human skin soft. It has valuable use in a number of places as the next generation's fiber in the 21st century. Microfiber cloth is so called when the fibers used to produce the cloth weigh less than 1 gram per 9km(9,000m) of length. That's over 5 miles! For most microfiber, this equates to a diameter of less than 0.012mm.Microfiber is made up of two polymers, polyester and polyamide, which combine to form a single thread.

Calculation of the thinnest thread number of MICROFIBER

** 1 denier : When a yarn’s weight of 9000 meters is 1 gram, it is called 1 denier. For example, any yarn’s weight of 9000 meters is 50 gram, it is 50 deniers. The thinnest yarn of MICROFIBER is 100 times thinner than a human hair. A : 1 filament -- 2 denier B : The filament divided from 1 filament to 16 filaments after special treatment. 2 denier / 16 filaments = 0.125 denier ( from 2 denier / 1 filament to 0.125 denier / 1 filament ) The number of fiber per square inch can be counted with only woven fabric.(for example, Suede). Suede(woven) : 1 thread = 72 filaments ---- divided to 16 filament per 1 filament. 72 x 16 = 1,152 fibers. 145 threads per square inch : So, 1,152 fibers x 145 threads = 167,040 fibers If this fabric is divided 30% more in the dyeing pot, they are about 217,152 fibers. 167,040 fibers x 1.3 (30%) = 217,152 fibers.
Microfiber cloth can take various forms: non-woven, woven and knitted.
The softness, elasticity, and stability of microfiber cloths comes from its microporous structure which is formed by the impregnation of polyurethane elastomer, similar to collagen in natural skin, into Ultrafine Microfiber.
